Correspondence of sound between words or the endings of words, esp. when these are used at the ends of lines of poetry.

“CONFESSION”

At first I thought I didn’t care

Love was something I could never bear

Then I realized it was all a lie

At the moment you have made me cry

As I felt pain, tears suddenly fell

Cause’ of certain words my heart can’t tell

Now I know you’ve finally won my heart

Since then in my mind you never part

I never thought my wish would be granted

Now I know you’re all I’ve ever wanted

At present, my heart can’t let you go

Because I still know I love you so.
